Part-Time Activities Coordinator – Parkview, Bexleyheath
Avante Care & Support is a trusted charity, enhancing the lives of over 1,000 older adults through our nursing, dementia care homes, and home care services.
We are seeking a creative and energetic Activities Coordinator to join our team at Parkview in Bexleyheath, working part-time (including alternate weekends). You’ll play a key role in ensuring residents stay active, engaged, and enjoy a fulfilling social life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead a variety of activities such as music, gentle exercise, games, and outings, tailored to individual resident needs.
- Support residents in maintaining independence and a sense of purpose by offering meaningful, engaging activities.
- Work closely with staff, families, and volunteers to ensure activities enhance the overall care experience.
- Encourage physical and mental stimulation, promoting residents' well-being through creative programs like gardening, reminiscence therapy, and arts and crafts.
What We’re Looking For:
- A caring, compassionate individual with strong organisational and communication skills.
- Creative with the energy to motivate and engage residents.
- Experience in organising recreational activities is a plus.
- NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is preferred.
