Job Description

Avante Care & Support is seeking an experienced and qualified Clinical Regional Support Manager who will play a pivotal role in driving excellence across our care homes, supporting Home Managers, and fostering innovation and quality care that aligns with our vision and philosophy of care.

 

Main responsibilities:

  • Oversee and enhance the delivery of care across our residential and nursing services in Kent and South East London.
  • Lead the development of exceptional clinical practices across Avante, providing expert advice and driving innovation.
  • Enhance care planning and risk assessment skills through training and mentorship.
  • Ensure the nursing team stays current with best practices and incorporates them daily.
  • Organise and deliver nurse forums to build a skilled and motivated clinical workforce.
  • Work closely with the People Team and Home Managers to recruit, retain and train nurses, ensuring compliance with mandatory standards.
  • Oversee NMC revalidation processes and mentor nurses to maintain professional documentation.
  • Foster a strong nursing workforce, encouraging professional development and contributions to research and publications.
  • Review audits and reports, addressing issues proactively with training and support and develop action plans for any underperforming services and support quality improvements.
  • Provide monthly updates to the executive team on challenges, barriers, and recommendations.

 

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

  • Nursing Qualification: Essential—Registered Nurse (RGN) Adults.
  • Leadership Expertise: Extensive experience as a Home Manager or in a senior care leadership role in a residential or nursing care setting.
  • Strategic Thinker: Ability to drive improvements, manage risks, and adapt to changing care environments.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of statutory regulations and compliance requirements including CQC Quality Statements.
  • Coaching Skills: Demonstrated ability to mentor and inspire teams toward success.

  • Salary: £70k - £75K
