Position: Senior Care Lead - Relief/Zero Hours
Location: Chaucer House, Canterbury
Hours: Day Shifts, Nights Shifts or Weekend Shift

As a Senior Care Lead, you’ll be at the heart of our community, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care while guiding and inspiring a team of dedicated caregivers. This role is pivotal in delivering safe, compassionate, and outcome-focused care, working closely with the Home Manager and Deputy Manager to foster a supportive, uplifting environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead & Inspire: Set the standard for compassionate care, supporting a team of Care Service Assistants to deliver exceptional service every day.
  • Champion Resident Well-being: Go beyond basic care to address emotional and social needs, aiming to reduce loneliness and bring joy to every resident’s life.
  • Supervise & Support: Step in to oversee the home’s operations in the absence of management, ensuring all care practices meet Avante’s Quality Standards.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Actively seek ways to enhance care quality and services, making Chaucer House a true home for residents and a rewarding place for staff.
  • Mentor New Talent: Assist in the training and development of new and current staff, setting a positive example and maintaining a safe, respectful environment.
