Temporary Payroll Administrator
Location: Head Office, Faversham, Kent
Hours: 14 hours per week (2 days)

We are seeking a Temporary Payroll Administrator to join our team at Head Office in Faversham, Kent. In this role, you will provide crucial support to the Payroll Team in managing pensions and payroll processes.
Main Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist in all aspects of the operation of a computerised payroll and management information system, to ensure the accurate and timely payment of all employees
- Enter and verify information in the Time and Attendance system as required to ensure accurate import into the payroll Verify system.
- Progress pay and personnel information queries in order to settle matters of uncertainty or those requiring clarification, liaising with the other members of the Payroll Team where necessary.
- Assist in ensuring all deductions from salary are correctly recorded and forwarded to the appropriate bodies where necessary.
- Completion of National Statistics information in an accurate and timely manner.
- Preparation of administration forms, letters or any other correspondence as required.
- To ensure that all records are maintained in accordance with agreed procedures.
- To undertake such other duties as may be required from time to time that are reasonable and are commensurate with the skills required of this post.
- Always to promote the best interests of Avante and to maintain confidentiality on all matters relating to the organisation’s business. The postholder will on occasions have access to highly confidential information and absolute discretion is required in dealing with such matters.
Necessary skills/experience
- The ability to work both as part of a team and also on own initiative.
- Computer literate.
- At least 2 years Administration experience.
- Good numeracy skills.
- Good communication skills
- The ability to deal with people appropriately, helpfully and sympathetically, both in person and over the telephone and to deal calmly with prospective and existing employees in sometimes difficult situations.
- The ability to work under pressure and to prioritise work.
Desirable skills/experience
- Working with multiple conditions of service.
- An eye for detail.
- Organisational skills.
- Experience of Word and Excel.
